KB30 ELECTS ITS NEW OFFICERS

Kabalikat Bicol

NAGA City -- Tomas “Nonoy” Rentoy VII (30-199) and Irvin C. Ayo (30-54) last Friday (Nov. 27) were elected as the new chapter president and chairman of the board, respectively, of the Kabalikat Bicol Naga City (KB30) Chapter effective January 1 – December 31, 2010. Rentoy, one of the pillars of KB Bicol and was the perennial operations chief of the chapter, will replace Engr. Salvador “Buddy” Altar (30-129) who steered the KB30 chapter with flying colors. Altar was elected as the vice chairman of the board. Ayo is a two-time chapter president of KB30 and two-time provincial chairman of the Provincial Executive Council (PEC) of Camarines Sur and presently the regional operations chief of KB Bicol and member of the national board of governors of the KabalikatNet Philippines Inc., a new national network and umbrella organization of volunteer groups in the country. Naga City (KB30) Chapter with about 200 members is one of the 29 pioneer chapters of Kabalikat Bicol when it was organized on April 29, 2006 in Ligao City. KB Bicol has now more 60 affiliated chapters in the region including those in Metro Manila (3) and Quezon Province (3). Kaballikat Bicol is this year’s National Gawad Kalasag Award winner as the Best Private / Volunteer Organization in the Philippines. Other elected officers aside from Rentoy, Ayo and Altar, were: Nikki Oriño (30-142), as the new executive vice president; Lito San Juan (30-141), vice president for administration; Orlando Moral (30-146), vice president for operations; Jimmy Anecito (30-256), treasurer; Ruben Sabaupan (30-65), auditor and; Elaine Presentacion, secretary/PIO. Board members are: Enrique Besenio (30-36), Marlon Villamora (30-133), Mar Santiago (30-82), Don Pomposo (30-226), Nelson Buendia, Jr. (30-186) and, Gervacio Ramos, Jr. (30-151). Jennis Nidea (30-01), KB Bicol regional governor and founder and national president of KabalikatNet Philippines commended the outgoing officers for the excellent leadership in steering the KB30 and hailed the newly elected officers. The KB30 Family Day, Christmas party and Installation of officers is set on December 26, 2009. Venue will be announced later.
