MORE THAN 50 PARTICIPANTS JONED THE 4TH BATCH

Kabalikat Bicol

GRS, Ragay, Cam. Sur -- The 4th batch of the Disaster Management and Rescue Training being conducted by the "78 4 D.A.TO.", a project of Congressman Dato Arroyo of the 1st District of CSur and the Kabalikat Bicol is now on-going (October 27-November 1) at the Formation Center, San Lorenzo Parish, here, with more than fifty (50) participants. Said training, with the previous 3 batches held at the Camp Patricia, Del Rosario, Pamplona, CSur is being conducted in cooperation with the Philippine National Red Cross-Cam. Sur Chapter, Philippine National Police, Offfice of Civil Defense, Regional Disaster Coordinating Council and the Girls Scouts of the Philippines - Cam. Sur Chapter. Aimed at the organizing a disaster and rescue teams (DART) in every town composed of certified rescuers/responders who are members of chapters affiliated with the Kabalikat Bicol and KabalikatNet Philippines. According to KbNet Phils founder and national president Jennis I. Nidea (30-01) "Of the 100 who participated in the training during the first 3 batches, more than 70 were passed and are now an certified Red Cross-accredited first aiders/rescuers who can immediately respond in an emergency situations. Nidea who is also the incumbent KB Bicol regional governor said that the last batch (5th) will be held at the Camp Patricia on November 4-8, 2009 before the conduct of the Mass Graduation and Skills Olympics on November 29-30 at the Covered Court of Libmanan, CSur. At the mini olympics, each chapter will have 1 team composed of 7-10 members who will showcase their newly acquired knowledge on retrieval and rescue.
