Kabalikat Bicol Awards
REGIONAL GAWAD KALASAG
In just a little more than 3 years in existence, the Kabalikat Bicol, a volunteer communication group with more than 60 chapters was declared the regional winner of the 2009 Regional Gawad Kalasag Award as best non-goernment volunteer group.
The information was relayed yesterday by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Legaspi City to Jennis I. Nidea (30-01), founder and regional governor of KB Bicol.
The Gawad Kalasag is the highest award being given annually by the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) and the Office of Civil Defense in recognition to the exemplary performance of various institutions/organizations and individuals, both in government and non-government.
